Systems Technician
SPARKZ Inc. is a leader in battery energy storage systems (BESS) aiming to establish a US-produced lithium-ion battery energy ecosystem. They are seeking a Systems Technician to assist in the design, documentation, and development of their BESS portfolio, working closely with engineers and operations to ensure reliability and safety in manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities
Establishing interface definitions across components and between mechanical, electrical, and software teams
Lead the assembly, wiring, and plumbing of novel BESS products
Support the setup, commissioning, and operation of mechanical and process systems used in BESS development
Analyze, critique, and improve manufacturing processes related to the construction of a production-ready BESS
Help document standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance procedures, and system documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, safety, and quality
Follow and promote all safety, environmental, and quality standards within the facility
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering a closely related engineering discipline
Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply (0–2 years of relevant experience)
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals (statics, dynamics, materials, fluid systems, thermodynamics)
Ability and willingness to work hands-on with industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting
Experience with hand and power tools strongly encouraged
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
Preferred
Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in manufacturing, energy, battery, or industrial systems
Excellent first-principles physics understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, power delivery, energy transformation, and basic thermal mechanics
Experience reading mechanical drawings, P&IDs, or equipment manuals
Experience with data collection, Excel, or basic engineering analysis tools
