They are seeking a Sr. Information Security Engineer to build and mature their cybersecurity program, implement endpoint protection solutions, and ensure the security of their web applications and SaaS platforms.

Responsibilities
Build and mature the cybersecurity program from the ground up, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Implement and manage endpoint protection (EDR) and SIEM solutions across the organization
Develop and execute phishing simulations and security awareness training programs for employees
Configure and maintain email security and data loss prevention (DLP) tools
Lead incident response efforts, including detection, triage, and remediation of security events
Secure the company’s web application and ensure robust security for all SaaS platforms in use
Coordinate vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts across all IT assets
Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures, including identity and access management (IAM) best practices
Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate security into development and operational workflows
Prepare for compliance audits and risk assessments, with a focus on NERC CIP standards
Mentor and eventually manage a small team of cybersecurity professionals
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles
Proven experience with endpoint protection/EDR tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Carbon Black)
Hands-on experience with phishing simulation platforms and security awareness training
Strong knowledge of email security, DLP, incident response frameworks, and IAM principles
Familiarity with securing web applications and SaaS environments
Understanding of NERC CIP compliance requirements and their application in the electric power industry
Ability to work independently in a startup environment and build processes from scratch
Excellent communication and leadership skills; prior experience mentoring or leading a team is a plus
