Deposit Quality Analyst

Responsibilities
Supports internal customer escalated inquiries by responding to phone calls, service events and emails regarding complex deposit account setups, trust ownership, IRAs, bank regulations, and policies
Responsible for the handling of deposit accounts with a deceased owner, including system coding, beneficiary notification, and closure/payout of account(s). Reviews internal and external documentation including Power of Attorney, Payable on Death, and Small Estate Affidavit forms. Assists frontline with payout instructions when closing deceased accounts
Completes transactions on tax-advantaged accounts, including opening Beneficiary IRAs and processing outgoing IRA transfers. Opens Health Savings Accounts and handles multi-account HSA contributions
Assists with various department functions including, but not limited to new account/maintenance auditing, scanning/processing documents, address corrections/changes, daily/weekly/monthly exception reports/processes
Ensures accurate tax reporting on deposit accounts, reviewing regular reports and updating the core system when completing tax corrections as needed
Stays well informed of all rules and regulations governing deposit accounts offered at INTRUST Bank including all checking, savings, CD, IRA, HSA, and safe box products while maintaining a working knowledge of tax documents related to these products
Interacts with internal customers to expediently resolve account/document errors. Maintains awareness of regulatory timeframes and reconciles errors in a timely manner to minimize bank risk and/or negative customer impact
Able to work with all internal software programs and product applications to ensure customer support and service levels are met
Provides backup assistance as needed on multiple department functions and works on various special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years related job experience
Previous banking experience
Excellent communication skills
Computer experience
Ability to follow established procedures accurately and efficiently
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to manage several high-priority tasks at one time
Ability to explain problems clearly and interact in a professional/positive manner
Ability to learn and retain guidelines for the following rules and regulations: Reg D, Reg E, and Beneficial Ownership
Preferred
Previous deposit operations experience
Customer service experience
CD/IRA experience
