Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and provide timely feedback on requirements, specifications, and technical design documents
Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases to ensure high-quality software and hardware testing
Execute functional, negative, performance and end-to-end testing
Identify and report issues, and verify issues are resolved to satisfy customer expectations
Create and maintain automated tests to facility timely product releases with minimal regression issues
Investigate and analyze production defects, identify gaps in test coverage, and enhance test approaches accordingly
Assume full ownership of testing strategies for one or more assigned products
Actively participate in and contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing quality insights during sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology Systems, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years' experience in a QA role with a technology organization
Strong troubleshooting skills for software, firmware and hardware issues
Familiarity with digital media, video streaming, and/or subtitling
Experience with defect tracking systems such as Jira
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience with video editing (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere)
Familiarity with video processing tools (e.g. FFmeg, OBS)
Knowledge of broadcast infrastructure (e.g. SDI, ST2110)
Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash)
