Finance Manager
Aventum Group is on a mission to revolutionize the insurance industry with a focus on inspiring specialty (re)insurance. The Finance Manager will support the Director of Finance in enhancing processes that underpin business growth, providing end-to-end finance support while overseeing various financial functions.
Responsibilities
Overseeing the group accounts payable function
Reviewing aged debtors and debt escalation
End-of-month journals
Month-end balance sheet reconciliations
Reconciliation of company credit cards
Regular bank reconciliations
Review and management of bank account balances across the group
Tracking and invoicing of inter-group management charges
Management of the inter-company loan accounts
Working with accountants to provide schedules for year-end accounts and corporation tax
Preparing year-end financial statements
Process and controls development
Use formal reporting mechanisms, as defined by Risk and Compliance or Internal Audit, to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures
Any additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
7-10 years of relevant experience
Previous experience working within fast growing, financial services companies
Experience within groups' of companies as well as strong team management experience
Preferred
System implementation experience is preferred but not essential
