CorSource is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Technician to support Remedial Action Scheme (RAS) engineering projects within transmission, substation, and control center environments. The role involves providing technical and drafting support for engineering design, documentation, and field implementation activities.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, logic diagrams, and design documentation

Develop and update design standards, templates, and technical guides

Draft as-built drawings for capital and maintenance projects using CAD software (MicroStation preferred)

Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering standards

Support engineers and project managers with design packages, reports, drawing lists, and document control

Maintain drawing databases, metadata, and records within document management systems (e.g., ProjectWise)

Assist with equipment specifications, material requests, and evaluation of new equipment

Support field crews by verifying site configurations and documenting installed equipment

Participate in inventory documentation and data cleanup efforts

Mentor and train new technicians and engineers on drafting standards, processes, and best practices

Ensure proper handling, filing, and security of technical records and confidential documentation

Required

A bachelor's degree in engineering technology, mathematics, computer science or a related field is preferred

5 years of work experience is required with or without an applicable bachelor's degree

Experience should include related work experience in a technical/engineering environment and should demonstrate increasing knowledge and responsibility

Proficiency in use of CAD software
