They are seeking Medical Assistants who will perform clerical duties and assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of licensed professionals.

Responsibilities
Obtain and document patient history, patient communication, and clinical treatment accurately and appropriately
Obtain and measure vital signs and document information on patients’ charts and maintain examination/treatment rooms, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and keeping inventory of medical supplies and materials
Perform routine diagnostic and laboratory tests
And administer medications as ordered by licensed medical and/or licensed nursing staff
Explain treatment procedures to patients under the direction of licensed medical and/or licensed nursing staff
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred
Certification as a Medical Assistant received from a certifying body recognized by Lone Star Circle of Care in its reasonable discretion
Prior professional experience as a Medical Assistant
Previous work using electronic medical records (EMR)
Bilingual English/Spanish skills
