Volunteer Experience Manager - Wharton/Richmond/Palacios
Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls through various programs. The Volunteer Experience Manager is responsible for achieving membership goals by implementing retention strategies, supporting volunteers, and engaging community support for Girl Scout programs.

Responsibilities
Achieve girl and adult membership goals by implementing appropriate retention strategies
Analyze membership trends and other available information in order to plan, develop, promote, and implement a comprehensive strategy to develop and retain adult members/volunteers and girl members in assigned area for troop, community, region, and council-wide programming
Accountable for new troop leader success which may include visits to support new troops, provide resources and capture their needs, and provide expertise in all GSLE programming such as the Volunteer Toolkit
Support the development and implementation of a robust adult volunteer mentoring program throughout assigned geographic areas
Ensure the delivery of role-specific learning opportunities and resources that are delivered in multiple ways that are continuous, fun, and adaptable to different volunteer styles and are effective at preparing volunteers for their roles
Develop and execute a written plan for assigned areas for achieving council goals and objectives related to program participation, girl retention, and the product sale
Monitor participation, identify trends, and adjust strategies where needed that may impact future programs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community; Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word), SharePoint, Personify, team/knowledge sharing tools, etc
Valid Texas driver's license and proof of insurance
