Assembly Internship
Barry-Wehmiller is a diversified global supplier of engineering consulting and manufacturing technology. They are seeking an Assembly Intern for the Summer 2026 timeframe in Green Bay, where the intern will learn to fit and assemble mechanical and electrical components and construct high-speed precision machinery.

Responsibilities
Read and analyze assembly and electrical prints/bills of material and order acknowledgment documentation to plan machine-building operations
Ability to assemble both mechanical and electrical components according to prints and sketches
Operate various hand and power tools properly, safely, efficiently, and effectively
Fit and assemble components according to specifications using proper tools and verifying conformance of parts
Assemble, set up, and may operate machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance
May form and fasten pneumatic and hydraulic lines, fixtures, and attachments required to service machine with air and oil
May install wiring, electrical components, and panel building to specifications
May debug assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems affecting proper operation
Identify and communicate with project team regarding build issues and documentation
Possess the written, verbal, and interaction skills necessary to work both independently and cooperatively
Communicate and interact with other team members regularly and effectively, focusing on working together as a team
Apply basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1 year of experience related to mechanical, HPL, and/or electrical assembly of industrial machinery
In process of attaining a 2-year degree or certification in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field related to mechanical, HPL, or electrical assembly of industrial machinery
