Responsibilities

Provide daily operational support for CAD and associated public safety applications

Monitor system health and troubleshoot CAD issues and outages

Build and maintain units, stations, response plans, protocols, and user access

Analyze and resolve technical issues, providing regular bug and status updates

Design, develop, and maintain reports using MS SQL Server, Power BI, and Crystal Reports

Support recurring reporting needs, including monthly CAD exports, Auto Aid reports, and reports for rural fire districts

Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from internal and external stakeholders

Support integrations including CAD-to-CAD, station alerting, FireRMS, analytics, and third-party public safety platforms

Schedule and coordinate system upgrades with external software vendors

Evaluate and recommend alternative application design and enhancement solutions

Document technical requirements and development activities in a project tracking system

Build and execute test plans for software modifications

Communicate development roadblocks to the team within 24 hours of identification

Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings

Provide weekly progress reports and bi-weekly status updates at a minimum

Required

5+ years (Expert level): CAD Administration with CentralSquare software

5+ years (Expert level): MS SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures)

5+ years (Expert level): Power BI and Crystal Reports development

1+ year (Advanced level): FireRMS support

1+ year (Advanced level): ProQA support

1+ year (Advanced level): Station alerting systems support

1+ year: Technical documentation in project tracking systems

1+ year: Building and executing software test plans

Preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Demonstrated professionalism in organization, documentation, and collaboration

Operating system fundamentals

Networking fundamentals

Ability to work effectively in a mission-critical public safety environment
