Responsibilities

Proactively recruit production and field employees through non-traditional channels, including: City and community events, Community colleges and vocational schools, Local organizations, churches, and workforce centers, Job fairs and neighborhood outreach
Manage the company’s presence on niche platforms to reach passive candidates and an Employee Referral Program
Collaborate with the Administrative team supporting marketing initiatives to create and share 'Day in the Life' content
Act as a brand ambassador for the company, clearly communicating: Company values and culture, Career opportunities and growth paths, Expectations of working in the field
Build and maintain a local talent pipeline for ongoing hiring needs
Maintain accurate candidate data, tracks and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Partner with operations managers to understand labor needs and hiring priorities
Conduct initial screenings to assess cultural fit, attitude, work ethic, and understanding of the role
Verify physical capabilities and basic equipment familiarity during the initial screening
Coordinate necessary pre-employment steps or background checks
Regularly report on local competitor’s wages and benefits
Design and manage a comprehensive onboarding journey
Spend significant time on active job sites with new hires during their first week
Act as a bilingual bridge to ensure the Crew Leader’s instructions are fully understood
Observe the new hire’s initial performance to provide immediate coaching
Identify and remove immediate barriers to efficiency
Collaborate with operations managers to ensure new hires are proficient in safety & standards, digital tools, and performance expectations
Implement and oversee a 'Crew Buddy' system
Act as a culture advocate by providing operations leaders with actionable data
Conduct formal 30/60/90-day stay interviews to assess employee satisfaction
Join technical onboarding sessions as a people and culture advocate
Provide feedback to operations leaders on candidate readiness, training gaps, and communication or cultural alignment issues
Serve as a trusted point of contact for new hires during their first weeks
Help ensure onboarding is consistent, welcoming, and aligned with company values
Build deep trust with field employees through regular site visits and bilingual 1-on-1 'stay interviews'
Identify early warning signs of turnover and proactively collaborate with leadership
Actively promote internal growth by helping employees understand and pursue specialized certifications
Ensure company values are not just 'on a wall' but lived in the field
Lead recognition initiatives and foster social connection through mobile-first communication channels
Serve as a transparent communication link between field feedback and management decisions
