Account Manager (Wisconsin)

Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of existing and new accounts
Identify and pursue new business opportunities at these accounts as well as new accounts
Develop a deep understanding of customer applications and provide consultative solutions using Pepperl+Fuchs products
Collaborate with internal product management and market teams to support customer solutions and ensure customer satisfaction
Provide accurate sales forecasts, territory plans, and activity reports
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and competitor activity
Willingness to travel across the state of Wisconsin on a daily/weekly basis as business dictates
Accountable for meeting sales targets
Conducts presentations and sales calls at all priority accounts and targets, focusing on creating and closing opportunities consistent with sales platform requirements
Maintains daily contact with accounts via various communication channels and onsite visits
Provides customers with new product information and technology training, actively participates in new product launches, and continually stays up to date on new systems and products
Appropriately utilizes various internal resources within designated territory, such as Field Application Engineers, Product Managers, and Market Managers
Maintains and builds relationships with external and internal personnel in numerous departments
Assists customer service with pricing, quotes, delivery and technical assistance, with the appropriate sense of urgency
Collaborates with customers to define product requirements, in line with our business strategy, to close opportunities
Maintains a sense of ownership for orders, from initiation through installation, including expediting as necessary
Reports daily activities and maintains priority accounts in CRM software
Actively participates in team meetings and meeting/exceeding established KPI’s
Prospects for new business using internal and external resources and follows up on leads to grow the territory
Maintains a safe, secure, and legal work environment
Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed
Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff and the general public
Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with industrial automation sales
Desire to grow professionally
Valid driver's license, passport for Canadian residents
Attention to Detail: Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills
Organize & Develop Areas of Responsibility: Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
Passion: Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude
Analytical skills/problem solving: Developed analytical and strong problem-solving abilities
Business Correspondence: Ability to read, write and interpret reports and business correspondence for a diverse audience
Communication: Well-developed presentation skills
Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with public and staff in a personable and professional manner
Ability to work alongside other employees within all levels of the organization
High degree of initiative and independent judgment
Must be self-motivated, proactive and solution focused
Knowledge of MS Office applications and the use of the intranet, internet, and CRM system
Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience Selling In One Of The Following Markets: Original Equipment Manufacturing, Automotive Manufacturing, Material Handling Machinery, Autonomous Vehicle Technology, IIoT Industry 4.0, Packaging Machinery, Mobile Equipment, Semiconductors/electronics industries
