They are seeking a Submittal Review Engineer/Staff Water Engineer to support their Water team by delivering design work for water/wastewater clients across North America, with responsibilities including construction observation and technical guidance.

Responsibilities
Support professional engineering services during construction including construction observation, review of submittals and shop drawings, responses to request for information (RFIs) and permit closeouts
Review QA/QC submittal reviews and RFI response comments from junior staff to ensure contract compliance
Liaise with Project Managers/Team Leaders and clients to ensure effective communication on project matters
Exercise judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Communicate with varied stakeholders and collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution
Contribute to the resolution of technical issues on projects and provide technical guidance to other team members
Carry out investigations and analyses to support the development of technical solutions
Perform fieldwork activities such as site visits, construction inspection, asset inventory and plant operations information, process troubleshooting and optimization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering
Minimum 4 years' of experience in engineering AND EIT Certification
Detail oriented and ability to provide technical guidance and work independently as needed
Advanced research, data gathering, technical writing and analysis skills
Developing skills including technical, project management, relationship management, sector expertise and commercial awareness
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, time management and communication skills
Preferred
