Responsibilities
Build the Future: Design and implement new services, tooling, and operational frameworks; prototype and deliver solutions addressing reliability and scalability challenges; lead initiatives like SRE-as-a-Service and Incident Commander Service
Enable Development Teams: Embed with dev teams to co-create solutions; provide hands-on support for debugging, Git workflows, observability tools, and incident response; reinvent on-call practices with clear escalation paths
Drive Operational Excellence: Create dashboards, alerts, and monitoring systems to reduce noise and improve visibility; ensure services meet OLAs and are properly documented; guarantee access to necessary tooling without blockers
Challenge the Status Quo: Escalate when systems or processes hinder progress; refuse 'we’ve always done it this way' as an answer; create actionable next steps that move teams forward
Build Trust Across Teams: Collaborate with multiple teams to understand pain points and deliver operational improvements; expand trust by solving real problems and driving adoption of best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years in software engineering or site reliability engineering roles
Proven experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, and observability tools (e.g., Datadog)
Strong background in designing scalable architectures and implementing automation
Expertise in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, or similar)
Familiarity with cloud platforms and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; ability to work across multiple teams
Occasional travel for developer engagement (approx. once per year per location)
