Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting staff and guests as needed
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment
Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons on the premises
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel to relay important information and support security-related operations
Follow post orders and site-specific instructions provided by Allied Universal leadership and the client representative
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and/or providing directions as required within the healthcare setting
Qualification
Required
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Having a guard card or license is preferred
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred
Experience with alarm panels is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
