Responsibilities
Facilitates day-to-day site operation
Prepares correspondence. Answers telephone inquiries. Attends meetings on behalf of the site
Prepares purchase requests in coordination with maintenance, interpretive, law enforcement, and clerical staff for purchase of required items
Assists in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling work activities of all personnel at the site to include administrative, maintenance, law enforcement, interpretive, housekeeping, and seasonal employees
Assists in directing the staff in the cleaning and maintenance of facilities and grounds
Assists park guests to enhance their overall experience. Provide information. Directs and/or performs fee collection tasks
Assists in the coordination of scheduling of interpretive talks, tours, and outreach programs, special events, re-enactment and demonstrations on site or off site for individuals and groups
Assists with site equipment inventory and property control
Qualification
Required
Three years of experience in the operation, administration, or maintenance of parks, outdoor recreation, or historic sites; or in parks or conservation work; OR
Three years of experience in law enforcement, interpretive services, mobile equipment operation, building construction or maintenance
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience
