Responsibilities
CAD Modeling: Responsible for modeling of complex parts using Solidworks CAD software including; design tables, surfacing, and complex assemblies
Manufacturing Drawings: Responsible for creating manufacturing drawings per ASME Y14.5
Tolerance Analysis (GD&T): Responsible for performing tolerance analysis on all interfacing devices
Design for Manufacturability: Responsible for working with manufacturing personnel to ensure parts can be efficiently manufactured
Qualification
Required
Good CAD skills
Good understanding of fundamental mechanical principles
Creative thinker and problem solver
Motivated and self-starter
Detail oriented
Organized
Experience with Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, Outlook
Hands-on mechanical ability and machine experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Minimum of 1-3 years in product design
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred
Formal CAD and GD&T training preferred
Manufacturing experience is a plus
