Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational support for Fire Department CAD and related systems
Support report-writing needs, including monthly CAD exports, Auto Aid reports, and reporting for rural fire chiefs
Develop reports using MS SQL Server, Power BI, and Crystal Reports
Create and maintain technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle
Build and execute test plans for system enhancements and modifications
Schedule and coordinate system upgrades with vendors including CentralSquare and Priority Dispatch
Monitor system health, troubleshoot CAD issues and outages, and resolve technical problems
Build and maintain units, stations, response plans, user accounts, and protocols
Communicate development roadblocks to the project team within 24 hours of identification
Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings
Provide weekly progress reports, code review updates, and bug status reports
Analyze issues and recommend alternative application design solutions
Support ad hoc reporting requests from agencies including the Client
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a closely related field is preferred
Expert Level Experience (Minimum Five (5) Years) CAD Administrator experience with CentralSquare software
Expert Level Experience (Minimum Five (5) Years) Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL and stored procedures
Expert Level Experience (Minimum Five (5) Years) Report development using Power BI and Crystal Reports
Advanced Level Experience (Minimum One (1) Year) FireRMS system support
Advanced Level Experience (Minimum One (1) Year) ProQA support
Advanced Level Experience (Minimum One (1) Year) Station Alerting system support
Additional Required Experience (Minimum One (1) Year) Documentation of technical requirements using a project tracking system
Additional Required Experience (Minimum One (1) Year) Development and execution of test plans for software modifications
Preferred
Strong command of written and spoken English, with demonstrated professional communication skills
Proven ability to organize, document, and communicate technical information effectively
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical staff
