Aircraft Paint Operator - (Weekend Shift- Friday-Sunday 5:30am-6:00pm)

Responsibilities
Paints surfaces of aircraft parts applying knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques, using spray painting equipment, power tools, and work aids by performing the following duties:
Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures
Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures
Strips, sands, masks, and repaints surfaces, and manually blends finish to match surrounding areas
Regulates controls on equipment to cure and dry paint or other coatings
Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent
Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with industry standards
Records types and amounts of paints used for environmental regulation reporting
Records completion of painting operations on planning documents
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by cleaning paint booth area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures
Crosstrain in different processes within department
Other various duties as needed or as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities including (but not limited to): Basic data entry into manufacturing software system
Ability to read and write the English language
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Must be able to work in standing position up to 10 hours
Must be proficient in basic shop math and computer experience
Must be safety oriented and follow safety policy
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)
