The System Engineer will become an expert on the operation and data analysis of the Single Molecule Sequencing platform, design experiments, and troubleshoot device issues.

Responsibilities
Accurately and consistently execute and record experimental method, materials, and results
Become an expert on the operation of the High Throughput Sequencing Platform
Design, implement, and analyze sequencing results of various microfluidic device process changes and various operating parameters
Investigate, troubleshoot, conduct failure analysis, and perform device development in a fast-paced environment
Debug instrumentation, device, and software issues to create a robust platform
Understand and apply statistical methods, design of experiments, and/or process control monitoring techniques
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualification
Required
0-5 years applicable industry experience. Preferably 2+ years experience
B.S. in bioengineering, electrical or mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, statistics, or a related discipline with a background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or surface/materials science
Meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and electronic record keeping skills
Proficiency in writing technical reports and verbally communicating with other technical staff
Excellent troubleshooting (experimental, instrument, device, software, reagents) and problem solving skills, along with experimental design experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work well in a team
Preferred
Prefer experience with statistical data analysis using JMP or Python
Prefer Python programming experience
Prefer understanding of or experience with DNA manipulation techniques, sequencing methodologies, or other wet laboratory instrumentation
