Responsibilities
Support the Project Manager in all aspects of the project both in the office and the field
Coordinate Discipline1 Engineering between internal engineers and EPC partners to ensure completeness and timeliness2
Handle the day-to-day detailed management of the project schedule
Handle the day-to-day transactional process of purchase and invoices
Manage the document control process
Manage all the design reviews including HAZOP/PSR and PSSR process
Coordinate with Construction and Commissioning Program Managers on Manpower Requirements
Other possibilities depending on experience level of Project Engineer
Planning and implementation of commissioning
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on their assigned projects. This can approve budget, schedule, and technical progress
Qualification
Required
Proven technical knowledge in multiple engineering disciplines
Knowledge of FEL/Stage/Gate project management methodology (PEMBOK), and Project Management software and tools (including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS project, Primavera)
Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Ability to travel 20-40% as required for site visits, shop visits, Coordination with Engineering Contractors, QA/QC support, etc
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engineering efforts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree a plus
Approximately 5-10 years of relevant experience in industrial gases or chemical plant design/operation/projects
