Responsibilities

Test Execution: Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on POS applications
Hardware Integration: Test peripheral connectivity, including barcode scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers, and EMV credit card terminals
Payment Processing: Validate credit/debit card transactions, Gift Cards, Loyalty Points, and mobile wallet payments (Apple Pay/Google Pay)
End-to-End Flows: Verify complex retail scenarios such as split payments, returns/refunds, exchanges, tax calculations, and discount coupons
Database Validation: Execute SQL queries to verify that transaction data is correctly flowing from the POS terminal to the back-office database and ERP systems
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
Collaboration: Work closely with Developers and Business Analysts to understand retail requirements and provide feedback on UI/UX for store associates

Required

Proficiency in Jira, HP ALM, or similar Test Management tools
Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries for data verification
Experience testing APIs/Web Services (Postman/SoapUI) that connect the POS to the cloud

Preferred

Basic knowledge of automation tools like Selenium or Appium for testing retail apps
