Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities
Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security measures to protect systems, networks, and data
Respond to system and network security breaches
Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities
Evaluate security needs and establish best practices and standards
Perform scheduled and ad-hoc vulnerability scans across networks, servers, and endpoints
Analyze scan results, validate findings, and prioritize remediation based on risk
Partner with IT and application teams to coordinate remediation and verify fixes
Tune vulnerability scans to reduce false positives and improve accuracy
Develop vulnerability metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reports
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of experience in network security and threat detection
Minimum 10 years of experience in incident response and vulnerability management
Minimum 10 years of experience administering Qualys
Minimum 10 years of experience with remediation documentation and patch management processes
Preferred
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Experience developing executive-level dashboards and security metrics
Previous State government experience is highly desired (2 yrs)
