Product Stewardship Senior Scientist

They are seeking a Product Stewardship Senior Scientist to lead product stewardship initiatives, manage compliance data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Manage product stewardship compliance data and reporting activities
Ensure substance level details are recorded in relevant systems to facilitate the preparation of compliant product Safety Data Sheets across all regions
Liaise with the central Product Stewardship team and regional teams to ensure ongoing compliance - change management and new product development
Ensure new or updated product information is gathered and recorded in appropriate systems to support chemical reporting and adherence
Facilitate testing of components when compliance data is missing
Coordinate cross-functional activities required to meet ongoing compliance and upcoming compliance deadlines
Provide mentorship, input, and support to product teams on product stewardship regulations and requirements
Generate, review, and approve responses to customer inquiries
Develop and drive continuous improvement around product stewardship processes, develop metrics, and ensure alignment with senior leadership and internal customers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, toxicology, environmental engineering, or related scientific field required
5+ years' experience working in product stewardship, chemical compliance, or regulatory affairs
Background in international and domestic regulatory programs related to REACH/ Materials of Concern, as well as a background in product characterization, product chemistry / materials
A high degree of professionalism, customer focus, and organizational skills is required
Strong communication skills and ability to discuss data, modeling, and analysis with technical and non-technical audiences
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.)
Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, fostering partnerships across diverse teams to achieve organizational goals
Preferred
Masters degree in chemistry, toxicology, environmental engineering, or related scientific field preferred
Prior experience working within a regulated industry or healthcare field is preferred
