Industrial Instrument/Electrical Technician - Lead (SCADA Trainer) - SP
NEOGOV is seeking an Industrial Instrument/Electrical Technician - Lead (SCADA Trainer) to support the maintenance group that treats wastewater. The role involves SCADA programming, maintenance, and training of staff on the Ovation SCADA system while ensuring compliance with environmental standards.

Responsibilities
Maintain all aspects of hardware and software related the Emerson/Ovation SCADA system at SP
Support all programming efforts for the SCADA system
Train other plant instrument techs with an emphasis on programming the Ovation and telemetry systems
The position requires the ability to work all shift schedules and required to report to work during adverse and inclement weather conditions and be on a rotating call list
Focus on SCADA training for the instrument group, in addition to performing preventative maintenance, modifications, upgrades, analysis, and diagnostics on DCS, SCADA, PLC’s, SLC’s, HMI’S, telemetry including networking with proprietary protocols. Apply electronic theory and control strategies to enhance tour controls systems
Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain all electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic instrumentation, control, and monitoring systems
Work with operations personnel, engineers, and suppliers to explain the function of processes and procedures needed for the operation of new equipment
Assist in inspection of instrumentation installed by contractors as well as witnessing and assessing loop commission testing. Review, modify and update drawings to conform with established plant standards
Make recommendations on purchasing spares and inventory requirements for all instrument related equipment
Qualification
Required
Ten years of Emerson /Ovation SCADA programming experience
Ability to communicate complex details to other crew members as well as vendors and contractors
Ability to read, adapt, and modify blueprints and shop drawings
Experienced with PLC troubleshooting and programming
The position requires the ability to work all shift schedules and are required to report to work during adverse and inclement weather conditions
Trainer experience
Washington State Driver's License
Preferred
Allen Bradley PLC and panel-view, programming experience
Two -year instrumentation certification
Device-NET experience
Telemetry experience
Wastewater experience
