Responsibilities
Provides excellent customer service to all member library staff members and patrons
Trains library staff at member libraries in related software and hardware as well as library-related skills including but not limited to book repair and book processing
Assists in the maintenance & updates of the NCLD webpage
Assist the Library District Director in administration of the Library District's integrated library system (ILS), and works with Libraries & patrons with ILS troubleshooting and website services
Processes & catalogs library materials for use, adding records to the ILS and prepares the items for use
With the Library District Director, gathers statistics on the use of the ILS, web pages, and online resources
Manages & processes interlibrary loan requests from and for NCLD libraries using OCLC WorldShare
Assists in requesting quotes from vendors, filling out forms, & tracking reimbursements from the Federal government, as needed
Provides software and hardware training for NCLD libraries
Manages & maintains NCLD rotating collections, repairing items when practicable
General clerical and office duties
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to work with minimal supervision and a self-starter
Ability to present to all age groups birth to seniors
Knowledge of multiple teaching methods
Knowledge of applications, capabilities and operation principles of personal computer software and hardware
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs including PowerPoint
Knowledge of web page development and online databases
Skill in effectively communicating verbally and in writing
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
Do you have a valid AZ Drivers License?
Preferred
Associate degree in Education or Library Science; OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience
