Project Architect
52X Consulting LLC is seeking a Project Architect to lead and mentor project teams while executing project plans and ensuring client satisfaction. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and maintaining responsibility for project scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with the Project Manager to execute project plans, schedules, and deliverables
Lead and mentor project teams in a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on the best outcomes for the firm, client, and project
Coordinate and collaborate with consultants, contractors, and owners through an integrated, proactive project delivery process across all phases, including design, construction, and post-occupancy
Maintain responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and overall project status
Foster strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future services
Coordinate and monitor the work of project personnel to ensure assignments and project requirements are met
Develop and maintain client confidence through professionalism, accountability, and consistent performance
Conduct architectural studies; develop design concepts, criteria, and technical solutions; and prepare reports, calculations, and construction documents
Prepare and review shop drawings, submittals, and construction specifications
Perform preliminary field surveys and develop conceptual and preliminary design plans
Assist in developing statements of probable construction cost
Participate in presentations to governing and permitting authorities for zoning, land use, and permit approvals
Observe construction in progress and upon completion to ensure conformance with plans and specifications; advise contractors on document interpretation
Ensure the firm’s quality assurance program is implemented and maintained throughout the life of the project
Serve as a subject matter expert on specialized systems and provide technical leadership across project teams
Represent the lead technical viewpoint and support projects from concept through completion
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture or equivalent education and experience
Minimum 10 years of architectural practice, with experience serving as a Project Architect on technically complex projects
Professional architectural licensure required
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, accurate work
Proven leadership, decision-making, delegation, and mentoring abilities
Ability to deliver responsive, high-quality design and construction documentation across a variety of project types and styles
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to achieving project design and performance goals
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines while contributing positively to a team environment
Preferred
NCARB certification preferred
LEED Green Associate accreditation preferred
Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and Newforma preferred
Valid driver's license and willingness to use a personal, insured vehicle for work-related travel
