Furniture Designer
Ocasa Living is a company focused on creating fully customizable furniture and design products. They are seeking a Furniture Designer who will blend concept development with technical design, collaborating with various teams to create unique furniture collections inspired by global perspectives.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the creative director, product development, and marketing team to develop mood boards, concept sketches, and design presentations for new furniture collections and one-of-a-kind pieces
Design products inspired by global perspectives–drawing influence from cultures, regions, and artisanal practices across the world
Lead in the conceptualization and design of high-end residential and commercial interior design projects
Produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using Rhino, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs
Research materials, craft techniques, and cultural references to inform and elevate the design process
Select and specify materials, finishes, and construction methods that align with Ocasa’s ethos and brand goals
Partner with international artisans and local fabricators to develop samples, prototypes, and production runs
Ensure all designs meet functional, aesthetic, and Ocasa’s brand standards
Contribute to product storytelling and design narratives that highlight the inspiration behind each collection
Support design iterations, material testing, and sample reviews throughout the development cycle
Qualification
Required
BA/BS or equivalent experience
Design background or understanding of hospitality/interior design
Minimum 4-5 years professional experience in furniture technical development, engineering, or product design required
Solid knowledge of residential and contract furniture technical design, construction, and finishing
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
A portfolio is required for consideration
