Responsibilities
Review and perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications and technical reports, develop design details and communicate same to others.. Individual is expected to be fully-versed in aspects of structural engineering for the industrial sector: including the analysis and design of steel and concrete structures and foundation systems
Applicable experience sectors may include: Power, Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, and/or Mining
Assist business development efforts by applying technical knowledge to identify and understand client needs and define scope of work requirements to support proposals
Coordinate effectively with other departments for multi-discipline projects
Maintain and expand client relationships
Qualification
Required
Minimum B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited University or equal
Minimum of 10 years of practical experience with piping design as well as equipment sizing/evaluations (pumps, compressors, mixers, etc.) is required, hydraulic design and capacity assessment considered a plus
Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer
Thorough knowledge and familiarity in using relevant codes and standards
Proficiency in any one of the industry standard piping analysis programs such as NozzlePro, CAESAR II, AFT Software, ASPEN or similar
Very strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Individual must have a work history which represents increasing responsibility, inclusive of leadership without authority
Preferred
Master's Degree
Experience with hydraulic design and capacity assessment
Experience with construction observation
AutoCad or Revit experience
