Responsibilities
Install, configure and upgrade Oracle databases 11g/12c/19c on Linux/Unix/Windows platforms
Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN
Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery
Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes and storage
Apply patches and security updates to maintain compliance
Manage user access, roles and privileges
Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis
Support migration and upgrade projects on-prem to cloud or version upgrades
Work closely with application teams for schema design and performance tuning
Qualification
Required
8-10 years of experience in database skill set
Strong experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c
Expertise in RMAN and Oracle Data Pump
SQL tuning, AWR reports and optimizer strategies
Oracle RAC and Data Guard configuration and management
User management, roles, privileges and encryption
Proficiency in Shell scripting for automation
Linux/Unix administration basics
Applying PSU/CPU patches and version upgrades
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proactive and self-motivated attitude
Preferred
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS RDS for Oracle
Knowledge of PLSQL development
Familiarity with GoldenGate for replication
Exposure to ITIL processes and ticketing tools
