This 4-week program provides classroom and clinical training to assist nursing staff in delivering patient care, including basic nursing responsibilities and direct patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities

Assist the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care as directed by the RN

Provide basic nursing responsibilities such as bathing, helping the patient with toileting needs, bed-making, assisting the patient walk/move, feeding, taking vital signs, and entering data into the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR)

Additional training will be provided for additional technical skills such as sterile technique and urinary catheter insertion
