Responsibilities
Manage the activities of all Equipment
Maintenance Department to support production
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, statutes and codes. Secure all required permits. Coordination with appropriate local authorities when necessary
Direct a systematic approach to identify and eliminate waste through continuous improvement in all processes and products
Research and develop new and innovative improvements to our equipment to improve productivity and quality
Execute company initiatives such as QS9001, TPM, Thai Summit Production System, etc. in areas accountable
Support the improvement of safety, quality, housekeeping, teamwork improvement activities, attendance, and administrative procedures
Participate in the interview, selection and training of associates for open positions
Document action plans for all groups and audit for effectiveness
Communicate with all of the departments in establishing areas of responsibility and to share timely, accurate, cost effective information
Qualification
Required
8 – 10 years' experience in machine maintenance in a manufacturing environment
Well-developed leadership, organization and communication skills
Blue print reading
Knowledge and experience in supervision, administration and basic computer skills, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) and ERP systems
Have knowledge and experience in electrical systems, mechanical systems and safety practices
Ability to train subordinates effectively and efficiently
Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment
Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs
Able to tolerate standing for 8 hours or more
Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, griping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the work day
Travel within the US and Canada up to 5%, usually travel is throughout SE Michigan
