Responsibilities

Coordinate environmental investigations of surface water, sediments, and wetlands, ensuring compliance with NJDEP regulations
Lead project teams in preparing technical documents, including Ecological Evaluations and Remedial Investigation Reports
Oversee riparian and wetland restoration projects under NJDEP and Natural Resource Trustees
Support ecological risk assessments through data interpretation and collaboration with risk assessors
Manage land use and wetlands permitting efforts under NJDEP programs
Maintain strong client and agency relationships while delivering projects on time and within budget
Additional duties may include natural resource surveys, biological monitoring, field team management, and specialized site assessments

Required

BS or MS in biology, wetland science, plant ecology, or a related field—or equivalent experience
4+ years of consulting experience (8+ preferred) in ecological evaluations, QA/QC, technical writing, and multi-media permitting
Deep knowledge of biological and wetland ecology impact assessment and management issues across industry sectors
Familiarity with state and federal environmental regulations; NJDEP experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and maintain integrity and professionalism

Experience with NJDEP's Bureau of Environmental Radiation (BER)
Established reputation with regulators and recognized technical expertise in ecological assessment approvals
