Gray Media is a multimedia company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and they are seeking a part-time digital production assistant to join their award-winning news team at KNOE-TV. The role involves editing video and sound for various multimedia platforms, writing and editing digital stories, and supporting various production tasks within the newsroom.

Responsibilities

Editing video and sound for all KNOE multimedia platforms

Positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under deadline pressure

Valid driver's license, as some local travel may be required

Writing and editing of digital stories

Will be exposed to all roles within the newsroom - production, editing, writing

Occasional operation of studio teleprompter, streaming desk, and various other duties as assigned will be required

The successful candidate will be creative, extremely detail-oriented, and have very strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication skills

Ability to work with a team

Strong grasp of visual design, grammar, and spelling

Able to work well with a team

Flexible to work mornings, nights, and weekends

Must be a self-starter who takes initiative

Able to sit and stand for extended periods. Able to climb and work on ladders and comfortably lift 30 pounds or more

Computer literacy is a must

Preferred

While previous television experience is preferred, it is not required

Experience with HD video production, Ross Overdrive, and Vision switchers, Ross Xpression Graphics, NVerzion Master Control Automation, ENPS, and non-linear editing systems is a definite plus
