Responsibilities
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions
Performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all steps necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and in compliance with all clinic and regulatory policies
Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
Schedule appointments according to office guidelines
Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays (TOS) and deductible amounts
Qualification

Maintaining patient flow
Scheduling appointments
Handling phone calls appropriately
Validating insurance eligibility
Entering demographics, insurance, and other pertinent information in the Electronic Health Record and other various systems
Determining and collecting time of service payments and/or past due balances at the time of appointment
Performing patient check-in at the time of visit
Completing all steps necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and in compliance with all clinic and regulatory policies
Answering phone calls and directing them appropriately
Obtaining accurate patient and insurance information
Collecting copays (TOS) and deductible amounts
Less than 1 year experience required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred
Effective communication skills
Medical terminology
Basic Life Support
