Data Analyst and Curator
2-1-1 Broward is a free, anonymous helpline providing support and resources to the community. They are seeking a motivated Database Analyst and Curator responsible for collecting, reporting, and analyzing data to support their activities and maintain a database of local nonprofit resources.

Responsibilities
Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages
Experience with Power BI, R, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms
Effectively presents and delivers our vision, mission, and values to the community
Collects and distributes data and reports in an ethical manner
Manages the various reporting platforms of 211 for the collection and generation of data
Ensures that reports stay current as reporting metrics and elements change
Works with the Contract Manager to ensure all contractual reporting metrics are being properly collected
Assists the Director of Data Services in determining the reporting needs of the community
Develops a working knowledge of current data reporting platforms in use by 211
Generates reports as needed by the community, 211 personnel, record-keeping policies, and 211 contracts
Maintains documentation on each type of recurring report, distribution list, and instructions on how to generate each report accurately
Works with 211 department heads and managers to identify and recommend areas for improvement to ensure quality service provision to the community

Qualification
Required
Reside in the Fort Lauderdale/Broward County area and able to work in the office the first full week of each month (25%)
Be able to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, some flexibility may be offered in the start or end time of the eight (8) hour shift
Have a secure, quiet, and confidential workspace with reliable internet
Be free from caregiver responsibilities or other obligations during work hours
Be able to pass a level two (2) DCF background check and drug test prior to employment
Have reliable transportation and the ability to complete site visits to community organizations as part of the 25% in-office requirements
Have a bachelor's degree from a four-year university in a related field OR have a combination of education and relevant work experience (referral services, database management, human services, non-profit, etc)
Have strong computer literacy skills, working knowledge of MS Excel a plus
Have high attention to detail and enjoy research-based tasks
Understand that occasional overtime may be requested during natural disasters such as hurricanes
Able to obtain InformUSA Database Curator Certification within 18 months of hire
Experience with data analysis and reporting
Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages
Experience with Power BI, R, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms
Is passionate about assisting others
Has a strong attention to detail and organization
Can apply critical thinking and research skills to look beyond surface facts
Has excellent written, verbal, and proofreading skills
Work autonomously once adequately trained, while liaising with others
Is motivated to grow and learn in the position through training and coaching
Preferred
Technologically savvy, including advanced Excel skills, prior database experience
Advanced English skills
Fluency in another language
