Sr. Budget Analyst
Forsyth County is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to join their team. This role involves managing projects, performing complex analysis, and overseeing portions of the budget process such as revenue forecasting and tax compliance.

Manage projects
Perform complex analysis
Be responsible for certain portions of the budget process (such as revenue forecasting, assisting with annual tax compliance, etc.)
Assist with management audits and feasibility studies
Provide data associated with impact fee updates
Assist with the Electronic Truth in Millage process for compliance with Florida Property Tax Laws
Assist with debt management (issuance, compliance, etc.)
Analyze, interpret, and present financial data and information
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Multitask and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Pay attention to details and maintain accuracy
Think strategically and problem-solve
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
2 years of related experience
Must possess a valid Florida driver's license
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and processes
Knowledge of financial management and budget preparation
Knowledge of laws, ordinances, and regulations governing government financial matters
Knowledge of economic assumptions for budgeting and preparing budget estimates
Knowledge of legislative Process and Bill analysis
Knowledge of budget planning, formulation, monitoring, and execution
Ability to understand and interpret policies, procedures, and regulations
Ability to use financial management and accounting systems
Ability to use data visualization software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and other tools to simplify complex data
Ability to develop financial models
Ability to perform statistical analysis
Ability to create and deliver financial reports
Ability to research and analyze budget variances
Ability to assist with management audits and feasibility studies
Ability to provide data associated with impact fee updates
