Inside Higher Ed is seeking an Assistant Director of Faculty Development and Online Education. This role involves collaborating with the Director to develop services aimed at enhancing teaching and learning, conducting assessments, and providing professional development for faculty.

Responsibilities

Support of campus-wide teaching and learning initiatives that foster the development and implementation of innovative, inclusive learning environments that enhance student engagement and retention

Establish and maintain collegial relationships with the campus community

Coordinate workshops and seminars on a range of teaching and learning topics

Provide confidential teaching consultations and course observations

Support the pedagogical development of new faculty and part-time faculty through coordination of workshops and seminars

Stay abreast of research, trends, and innovations in teaching and learning as applied to classroom and online learning environments

Mentor instructional designers and technologists on initiatives that integrate best pedagogical practices and emerging technologies

Monitor and assess the success of OFD services and support and effectively report findings to the Director
