Responsibilities
Serves as lead worker to others within patient services to include information resource, mentor, and support to team members
Provides feedback regarding developing, implementing, reviewing, and revising policies and procedures affecting the teams functional area/responsibilities
Provides support to new employees during the on-boarding process
Registers patients in an efficient and accurate manner
Understands various insurance programs and apply information to patient registration process
Communicates insurance benefits in a manner that is understandable to the patient
Enters accurate charges 95% of the time
Collects co-payments and appropriate deductibles
Schedules patients for proper follow up appointment
Qualification
Required
High school diploma/GED
3 years of experience working in a medical office setting
Preferred
Completion of medical office assistant program
Healthcare management/administration certification
Bilingual Spanish speaker highly preferred!
