RPA Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide full-time onsite support at Materion, one of their world-class industrial clients. This role focuses on managing and executing capital projects, ensuring successful delivery from concept to completion while applying leadership skills and technical knowledge in instrumentation, controls, and data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and execution of capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets, and timelines

Serve as Project Lead for multi-disciplinary and single-discipline projects, including developing project scopes, estimating costs and work hours, coordinating resources, and managing project schedules

Develop technical specifications and data sheets, evaluate vendor bids, and recommend best-value designs that meet operational, reliability, maintainability, and safety requirements

Oversee field installations, conduct inspections, and resolve technical issues during project execution

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and external suppliers, to ensure project success and alignment with facility needs

Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues with instrumentation, control, and data acquisition systems

Identify and evaluate new technologies to improve the performance and reliability of systems and processes

Create and implement standards and procedures to ensure consistency and long-term sustainability of instrumentation, control, and data acquisition systems

Actively contribute to the Materion Elmore site Environmental, Health & Safety System to ensure compliance and safe project execution

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Strong communication and team skills necessary in working with equipment suppliers, contractors and in sharing project information with internal departments

Strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills to effectively contribute to executing projects

Possess analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Understand and analyze process systems and equipment, while using data to drive decisions
