Responsibilities
Monitor, configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including Aruba switches, wireless access points, cabling, and supporting systems
Install, configure, maintain, and support physical servers , including lifecycle management and redundancy validation
Administer virtual server environments (Hyper-V and HCI), including provisioning, performance monitoring, and high-availability configurations
Act as a Tier 3 escalation resource to diagnose and resolve complex network and infrastructure incidents within defined SLAs
Design, implement, and validate secure access controls , file server permissions, DFS configurations, and group-based ACLs following least-privilege standards
Perform advanced network troubleshooting to identify root causes of outages, performance degradation, and configuration issues
Install, configure, and support network infrastructure devices such as switches, wireless access points, firewalls , and related systems
Collaborate with server, application, and IT support teams to resolve cross-functional issues
Participate in infrastructure projects including network refreshes, wireless upgrades, server replacements, and modernization initiatives
Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Coordinate with vendors for hardware support, warranties, and repair services
Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to other technicians
Maintain accurate records of incidents, repairs, and vendor interactions
Perform other related duties as assigned, including physical work such as lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs) and working in varied environments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (relevant work experience may substitute for education)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in network and infrastructure engineering or related roles
Hands-on experience supporting enterprise network environments
Strong troubleshooting skills for network, server, and infrastructure-related issues
Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and HCI
Knowledge of network connectivity, including switches, VLANs, and wireless technologies
Ability to document technical processes, configurations, and resolutions clearly and accurately
Familiarity with enterprise security principles, access controls, and least-privilege models
Preferred
Experience with Aruba networking equipment
Background supporting government or large enterprise IT environments
Exposure to infrastructure modernization or technology refresh projects
Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
