Luminis Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their prestigious Orthopedic Spine Surgery Team in the Lanham/Bowie region. This role involves evaluating and managing patients with spinal disorders, performing pre- and post-operative assessments, and assisting in the operating room during spine procedures.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients with spinal disorders in a busy orthopedic spine clinic

Perform comprehensive pre- and post-operative assessments and care coordination

Serve as a first assist in the operating room during elective and urgent spine procedures

Interpret diagnostic studies (e.g., MRIs, CTs, X-rays) to support diagnosis and treatment planning

Perform and assist with in-office procedures, including spinal injections and minor interventions

Educate patients and families on diagnoses, surgical and non-surgical treatment options, post-operative care, and recovery plans

Collaborate closely with attending spine surgeons and the interdisciplinary care team

Ensure timely referrals and follow-up care across the continuum
