Responsibilities

Effectively present information and respond to questions to groups or individuals while providing outstanding hospitality
Learns and maintains a demonstrated understanding of Commercial Lines insurance, company products, pricing, and coverages in all states where Central does business
Develops, demonstrates, and applies knowledge of the Commercial Lines policy system as well as other related and supporting systems. Utilizes the policy system and other related supporting systems to make sound decisions
Independently screens, quotes and processes new submissions, issues, renewals, and endorsements for policies
Coordinates documentation for underwriting files
Communicates and coordinates any necessary follow up with Underwriters
Trains underwriters, agents, marketing representatives, and other stakeholders on Commercial Lines system
Works pro-actively with underwriter(s) in support of our new and renewal client base (both PL and CL?)
Conducts workshops for the Commercial Lines department, marketing, agents, underwriters, and other customers
Creates and maintains strong relationships through collaboration with agents, Underwriters, Marketing and other stakeholders
Works with Commercial Lines Underwriting team to collect information, perform data entry, analyze risk factors and more to meet policy needs
Researches and responds to customer needs
Responsible for providing the highest level of accuracy and support to the underwriter(s) throughout the new business lifecycle and ongoing renewal account maintenance
Performs initial review, triage and processing of small new business and renewal submissions
Performs specialized rating functions as they relate to assigned product line
Responds to verbal or written inquiries via underwriters by agents within the department customer service standards
Performs the initial renewal review within department authority and makes recommendations when sending to the underwriter
Orders reports as requested by underwriters, completes general duties and reviews various reports within department authority
Analyzes rating sequence to determine premium is being calculated correctly
Reviews endorsements to ensure compliance with our underwriting guidelines
Assists with testing initiatives
Performs department audits
Uses Commercial lines knowledge to train others

Required

1 year experience in customer service

Preferred
