Responsibilities

Performs a variety of duties in the composite hand lay-up area, robotic, automation, acoustic, avionic, vibrational and/or optical areas
Constructs, fabricates, assembles, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems
Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed

Required

Associate Technician (Level 2): 2+ years working as a technician in a related field
Mid-level Technician (Level 3): 5+ years working as a technician in a related field
Experience with composites and hand lay-up techniques for monolithic and sandwich panels is required
Be a self-starter who can work alone, if necessary and meet a deadline
Must possess teaming skills, interpersonal social skills, strong ethics, and good work habits
Be able to lift, bend and stand for prolonged hours
Possess written and verbal skills necessary to be able to effectively work within an integrated product team environment
Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
High School Diploma or GED

Preferred

2- year Associate's Degree from Trade/Technical School
Experience with or be willing to learn machine shop type equipment (drills, saws, sanders, etc), ovens and autoclaves, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment
Familiarity with aerospace specifications preferred
Experience with FTIR, GDS, GCMS instrumentation is also preferred
