Project Controls Cost Engineer/Scheduler
Premier Resources Group (PRG) is seeking a Project Controls Specialist with a strong Cost Engineering/Scheduling background to support portfolio-level capital projects across multiple locations. This role leads cost reporting systems, detailed job cost analysis, and schedule/cost performance assessments while serving as a subject matter expert for cost management.

Responsibilities
Lead setup, maintenance, and reporting of cost management systems for active projects
Perform detailed job cost control including commitments, accruals, actuals adjustments, forecasting, and variance analysis
Assess schedule impacts, cost estimates, contingency usage, and risk profiles
Review monthly status reports and vendor performance reporting
Monitor compliance with corporate standards, policies, and project controls procedures
Support quantification and management of project risks and changes
Update portfolio cost and risk data in internal systems and tools
Track cost, schedule, and scope baselines and manage change impacts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Project Management, or related field; or 11+ years of project controls experience in lieu of degree
Minimum 7 years of project controls experience
PMI or AACE certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, CCC, PSP, CEP, EVP)
Proficiency with project controls and cost engineering concepts, software, and analytics
Ability to independently lead complex cost assignments
Strong communication and collaborative working skills
Preferred
Master's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent field
Demonstrated expertise with cost/schedule tools (e.g., Primavera, Power BI, Monte Carlo risk tools, MS Office Suite, advanced Excel, etc.)
Prior experience supporting capital projects in regulated or utility-adjacent environments
