Responsibilities

Design and execute comprehensive test plans for web, iOS, and Android applications

Perform manual testing including functional, regression, and exploratory testing

Document and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments

Collaborate with engineers, product, and design to understand requirements and identify edge cases

Identify opportunities for test automation and begin building automated test coverage

Participate in sprint planning and provide QA estimates for new features

Advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle

Required

4+ years experience in software quality assurance

Strong manual testing skills and a keen eye for detail

Comfortable reading and writing code in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or Java preferred)

Exposure to test automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar) and eager to grow these skills

Understand API testing concepts and have experience with tools like Postman

Familiar with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar)

Strong communicator in a fully remote environment

Can clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Able to work independently in situations of ambiguity

Passion for quality and a user-first mindset

Preferred

Passion for fitness, running, cycling, or other endurance activities

Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests

Experience with performance or load testing

Familiarity with the MapMyFitness apps or active user community
