EHR/PM Applications Analyst

ADVENT is a healthcare company focused on innovative solutions and patient-first care. They are seeking an EHR/PM Applications Analyst to support existing EHR/PM systems, assist with data entry, and recommend optimizations to enhance revenue and process efficiency.

Responsibilities

Supports existing EHR/PM system(s), providing support to end users by answering questions, analyzing EHR-related procedural problems, presenting new functionality, communicating any changes/outages as well as documenting concerns and reporting to the EHR Manager
Assists with insurance payer and chargemaster fee schedule data entry
Maintain knowledge of EHR capabilities and updates through EHR learning platforms to implement change and management of the ongoing maintenance of the EHR applications within assigned scope as well as educate team members as necessary on any changes
Recommend ways to optimize areas related to revenue including, but not limited to, charges, dictionaries (i.e., HCPCS, CPT, ICD10), insurance verification, and clinical documentation
Recommend and implement changes within the EHR, including cyclical upgrades, customizations, or any internal updates needed, working with HIT Applications Manager to lead the execution of improvement projects
Provide technical scope assistance in the creation of reports to report clinical and financial analytics ad-hoc and on cycle working with multiple departments across ADVENT
Coordinate and support implementation of EHR at new clinics and with new team members, partnering with other departments to ensure execution meets outlined expectations and deadlines
Assists with all data entry policies for the EHR system. Follow business rules to ensure the highest quality of data is maintained
Identify, propose and implement continual improvements to drive process efficiency, scalability and innovation within the scope of your work that enhances our ability to achieve the ADVENT vision
Support the overall success of the organization and perform other related duties as requested by leadership
Plan and adapt with business growth and strategy, cross-training where necessary to accommodate different situations and locations
Follow all legal and compliance requirements, including HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient privacy

Required

Bachelor's degree in business related field or minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role/environment
Healthcare experience required
Strong professional presence and business acumen, excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills, and organizational agility
Excellent time management skills, including ability to work autonomously and with minimal direction, anticipating needs and planning accordingly, taking initiative to organize and prioritize responsibilities and tasks to meet deadlines
Skills in typical office applications, such as Outlook, Word, Power Point and expert experience in Excel with responsibility for data import & mapping, data cleanup, and data export
Read, write and speak fluently in English, with an ability to explain or convey technical information to a broad range of audiences
Perform and understand basic math functions, including adding, subtracting, calculating percentages that would be typical in insurance payment settings

Preferred

4+ years using an EHR or practice management software platform preferred
1-2 years of project management, performance/continuous improvement, or consulting role preferred
