Responsibilities
Oversee and support daily financial operations across housing programs, grants, and related initiatives
Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of financial statements, regulatory reports, and Financial Data Schedule (FDS) submissions
Coordinate month-end and year-end closings, audits, and regulatory filings
Monitor budgets, analyze financial variances, and prepare clear financial reports and narratives
Manage grant accounting, cash management, and timely fund drawdowns
Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to finance staff, promoting accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to ensure compliance and operational excellence
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience, including at least two (2) years in a senior or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of GAAP and governmental or nonprofit accounting standards
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial management systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
