2K is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to join Firaxis Games' development team. The role involves designing and developing systems and tools to support various game features, with a focus on utilizing Unreal Tech to enhance game development processes.

Responsibilities

Design and develop systems to support various game features

Build and design tools both inside outside of the Unreal Editor that support content creators

Set high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability

Assist team to resolve difficult technical issues and address Unreal Engine-related challenges

Identify and bring to attention problematic changes and issues in a timely manner

Qualification

Unreal EngineC++Multi-threadingProblem solvingCommunication skills

Required

3+ years of engineering experience using Unreal Engine

A broad knowledge of Unreal's internals

Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills

Highly proficient in C++ programming language

Comfortable with multi-threading, templates, and optimizing

Strong problem solving and debugging skills

Self-motivated and passionate about games

Good team communication skills, able to translate rough ideas into concrete implementations

Preferred

Experience with Unreal Engine 5 Editor and Slate
