Responsibilities
Supporting projects relating to distribution design for end clients within the utilities industry
Design work pertaining to replacements of poles and single target work
Responsible for the design of utility substation components in accordance with client requirements and NESC guidelines
Producing engineering design documents that will be used by construction crews in the field
Completing design work to replace existing equipment and substation components
Qualification
Required
ENTRY LEVEL/RECENTLY ABET ACCREDITTED ENGINEERING DEGREED CANDIDATES
Comfortable commuting in office to Riverview, FL up to 4-5 days per week (will be working 40/hour per week)
Completed Bachelors Degree in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, OR CIVIL ENGINEERING from an ABET accredited Engineering program
Minimum 0-3 years of relevant professional, internship, or undergraduate coursework experience, related to Electrical/Mechanical/Civil or similar Engineering or similar is a plus, but not required
Having an interest in learning about the power distribution & utilities design engineering industry utility terminology (transformers, kilowatts, voltages, transmission, etc.) - will be trained on industry specific terminology!
Coachable eager to learn and pick up on new skills
Ability to be a problem solver and aptitude to be forward-thinking
Preferred
Experience using AutoCAD, Solidworks, or similar CAD or GIS design tool preferred - will be trained on company specific software!
